RAILROADERS and SPECTRA THERAPY TO HOST PET PANTRY
COLLECTION EVERY WEDNESDAY HOME GAME
CLEBURNE, TX – The Cleburne Railroaders have partnered with Spectra Therapy to collect pet food and other items during every Spectra Therapy Woof Wednesday during the 2022 season. All items will be delivered to local pet shelters each week.
The program was developed by Railroaders part owner and former NFL punter, Jon Ryan. About the project he says, “We love our pets and we want to do more to support local shelters and other organizations that are taking care of those who can’t safely care for themselves.” He adds, “I called Spectra Therapy because I know that, in addition to providing great human therapy, they work with animals of all shapes and sizes.”
Fans are encouraged to bring unopened cans or bags of pet food to the Depot for any Woof Wednesday home game. Fans are also encouraged to bring new or gently used blankets, towels or pet toys.
John Stephan, the owner of Spectra Therapy says “When Jon called and told me about the needs in the area, I couldn’t resist!” He added, “Our work with humans who are recovering from injury is our biggest focus but more and more pet owners are realizing that our technology can help their older pets feel better too.”
The next Spectra Therapy Woof Wednesday is on Wednesday, July 27 as the Railroaders take on the Gary Southshore Railcats at 7:06 pm.
