Railroaders Bring World-Famous Massey’s BBQ to The Depot

CLEBURNE, Texas (April 13, 2021) – It’s widely known that the state of Texas possesses the United States’ best barbecue, both in terms of variety and overall flavor. So, when the Railroaders went looking for the best barbecue to serve ravenous Railroaders fans at The Depot in 2021, the search didn’t take long.

The Railroaders are proud to announce today a partnership with Massey’s BBQ of Alvarado, Texas to serve their famous meats at The Depot during the entire 2021 season.

Known for mouth-watering brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, Massey’s is a staple of the Johnson County community thanks to their award-winning meats and friendly atmosphere. Their legendary “Massey’s Mess”, a combination of meat, cheese, beans, and barbecue sauce, has inspired several songs and prominent works of art.

“When you think Texas, you think barbecue,” Railroaders General Manager John Junker said. “Massey’s BBQ represents everything that we value here at the Railroaders. They’re involved in the community, serve great food at a great price, and have an unmatched reputation for customer service.”

Junker declined further comment, citing a mouthful of Massey’s famous banana pudding.

A family owned and operated establishment, Massey’s has also established itself as a proven supporter of the community, hosting a variety of events on the spacious outdoor patio at their Alvarado location to benefit local schools and organizations.

“Community involvement, customer service, and a great product are what Massey’s is all about,” Massey’s owner Todd Massey said. “We slow smoke our brisket for 11 hours, and it took us more than 1,100 days to find the perfect BBQ sauce, not too sweet and not too spicy. We’re excited to bring our signature sauce and meats to The Depot in 2021.”
